COB grow lights are rather new to the indoor grow industry. COB stands for “Chips On Board”.  When you think of LED grow lights, you probably think of the bright purple rays of light.  While the traditional “bplurple” LED grow lights works well, you need to wear safety glasses when working around them, as the lights can be damaging to your eyes.  It’s actually a good idea to wear safety glasses when working around any high intense light.

We have performed several grows with the 2CL model within a 2×4 ft grow tent.  So far, we’re quite impressed with the results!  The build quality of this light is amazing!  It is extremely durable and sturdy; definitely built to last.  These lights are built to order, and ship out of San Diego, CA, so it may take a week or two to receive them.

The light comes with an on-board dimmer switch, so you can easily adjust the light output to whatever you like.  I left mine all the way dim while veging, and then cranked it up to max during flower.  This allows you to also save some money on your electric bill; no need for max output when veging.

I highly recommend this light to anyone who wants a high quality COB setup.  While the “bplurple” LEDs do a fine job, I personally prefer to use a pure white light.

The light came very well packaged with tons of bubble wrap.  No way was this thing getting damaged!
